The annual tradition of the Haxey Hood in North Lincolnshire dates back to the 14th Century. It's said to be based on the efforts of a group of farmworkers to catch and return a silk scarf - now represented by a leather tube - which was dropped by the wife of the local lord. The hood is now fought for by teams from four pubs, three in Haxey and the other in nearby Westwoodside. But do you know your sway from your boggins, and what exactly are the rules? Image: Getty.
