'This will get worse because of climate change'
Available for over a year
The Environment Agency says it's continuing to explore new ways of managing flood water across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland as wetter weather puts pressure on the capacity to cope with increased rainfall. Many areas flooded for the first time this week and some were under water for the second time in a year. The EA has warned that climate change and wetter weather means the problem isn't going to go away. Matthew Gable is the Area Incident Manager and told Â鶹Éç Leicester's Kelly Hinch that there's a lot of work going on looking at ways of mitigating flood risk.
