If someone told you that the largest industrial robot in Britain was somewhere in Dorset - where would you think it was? It's in Poundbury - where it's being used by a Dorset company called Loop Technology as part of what they call a "cell" that is designed to cut and mould large pieces of carbon fibre for commercial aircraft. It's a sector that in the words of the MD there is going "a bit nuts" at the moment - after a quiet few years post-Covid.
