Rachel Reeves has championed plans for a 'growth corridor' between Oxford and Cambridge. The 'Silicon Fens' plan includes an East-West railway line, better road links, and more housing. The Environment Agency says water scarcity remains a problem for Cambridgeshire after barriers to major developments in the area had been lifted.
