"The centre of the world": Exploring the deep history of The Strand

Is there a London street more iconic than The Strand. It has inspired great songs, is home to one of the grand London hotels and was a hotspot for theatre and music hall during the 19th century. By 1910, the street was known as the 鈥榗entre of the world鈥. Now, the Strand has its own biography, written by historian Eileen Chanin and archivist Geoff Browell.
