Potholes the size of dinner plates

Available for over a year

The cost of bringing pothole plagued roads up to scratch across the country has been estimated at a record high of nearly 17 billion pounds. That's according to the Asphalt Industry Alliance in their annual report. One road in Wisbech has 30 reports of potholes on Cambridgeshire County Council's reporting system. The county council says it has agreed a £59 million highways maintenance and improvement programme for 2025/26, but they say the county's roads need more than £400m worth of maintenance to address all the issues. John Devine has been to Wesenham Lane to size up the problem.
