Today

Available for over a year

After the huge 7.7 magnitude earthquake that struck on 28th March, Today programme presenter Anna Foster reports from Mae Sot, one of the busiest crossing points between Thailand and Myanmar. Many of the Burmese diaspora in Mae Sot have chosen to leave Myanmar to escape the military junta, which seized power in a coup four years ago. Anna, with the help of her translator Richard, speaks to people trying to get information about family and friends they鈥檝e left behind in the areas affected by the earthquake, and the heartbreak of not being there to help in the aftermath. Listen to Today on 麻豆社 Radio 4 and 麻豆社 Sounds: 6-9am weekdays and 7-9am on Saturdays.
