Herefordshire hospice looks 'across border' for survival
Available for over a year
Bosses at St Michael's Hospice say a new furniture and homeware store in Shropshire is 'essential' to get more cash in, and without public donations, they wouldn't even exist. The Hospice has revealed that more than 80% of their funding comes from the generosity of others, at a time when they are facing escalating costs, and a huge rise in referrals of 199% since 2017. The furniture store they want to open would be on a manufacturing site in Ludlow. A planning application is currently being considered by Shropshire Council. Tom Edwards reports from their base at Bartestree.
