How a Clerkenwell pub became a hub of tattoo history

70 years ago The London Tattoo Society met for the first time in the Horseshoe pub in Clerkenwell. Back then, tattooing was certainly not mainstream, and there were only a handful of artists in the UK. Now, people from all over the world have to gathered to mark the event as well as celebrate founder of the society - Cash Cooper - who was a pioneering British tattoo artist in London. Alice Salfield has been along to the pub to find out more.
