Ten days until 'disastrous' harvest says farmer
Available for over a year
A farmer from Dorset says we are ten more dry days away from a 'disastrous' harvest. The exceptionally warm and dry weather has left even chalk farms like his, that normally are more resistant to dry spells, struggling to keep crops growing. He says many plants go into 'survival mode' if they don't get enough water, and cease growing.
