The Worcester bees causing havoc

Available for over a year

Residents in Corfe Avenue say they feel trapped inside their own homes, due to huge swarms of bees, which are stinging people on a daily basis. An official investigation is taking place over the problem in Warndon Villages, after repeated reports of people, pets and tradespeople being stung. Some residents tell our reporter Tom Edwards how they live in fear of going in to their gardens or opening their windows. The problem has been located to one property in Corfe Avenue, by the landlord in a house of multiple occupation, where a large number of beehives are being kept in a back garden. The Â鶹Éç has attempted to reach the landowner for comment. A statement from Worcester City Council said: "Worcestershire Regulatory Services are investigating the complaints on behalf of the council, it is not appropriate to comment further at this time."
