A new study has suggested that following a low-calorie diet could increase the risk of developing symptoms of depression. Professor Sumantra Ray, one of the founders of the BMJ Nutrition, Prevention and Health where this new observational study is published, said: "What this study really adds is a little bit of insight into the fact that there may be an association between lower calorie diets and depressive symptoms." Today's Emma Barnett talks to Dr Chris van Tulleken, author of It's Not You, It's The Food and co-presenter of the What's Up Docs? podcast. Listen to Today on 麻豆社 Radio 4 and 麻豆社 Sounds: 6-9am on weekdays and 7-9am on Saturdays.
