He's a national treasure who describes himself as 90% Jim Royle and 10% Ricky Tomlinson. Ricky's career first started when he appeared as Bobby Grant in Brookside followed by DCI Charlie Wise in Cracker and of course, as Jim Royle in the Â鶹Éç sitcom The Royle Family in 1998.
