Primary school children take over Leicester Market

Available for over a year

Primary school children took over Leicester Market to sell produce as traders. The pupils set up stalls two hours before regular market traders opened on Friday as part of the Young Marketeers food education programme. The scheme, operated by the charity School Food Matters, gives children the opportunity to grow food with the help of expert gardeners, then sell it to the local community. Â鶹Éç Leicester reporter Adele Wilkinson went to meet them.
