The locks at Gargrave, near Skipton, and the Bingley Five Rise Locks on the Leeds and Liverpool Canal, are closed due to a lack of water, leaving boat-dwellers stranded between those points. The Canal and River Trust have announced that all its locks on the Leeds Liverpool Canal will be closed until water levels improve.
