The bikes are only meant to be used within the city boundaries, except Beeston, with a system of fines in place for those who do not follow the rules. But the machines have been found in surrounding areas including Gedling, Lady Bay, Arnold and Colwick, with some dumped on public footpaths and outside homes. There have also been complaints about the sound the bikes make whilst being ridden without being paid for. Emily McGuirk finds out what people in Nottingham think about the bikes, and Dino speaks to Mike Adams, a Gedling borough councillor, about their impact on residents.
