Woody Guthrie home recordings released for the first time

Weekend

Available for over a year

One of the most influential musicians of the 20th Century, Woody Guthrie inspired Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, Johnny Cash and many more. Considered a left-leaning political poet, Guthrie became the voice of American folk music for three decades until his death in 1967. Never-before-heard home recordings of Guthrie are now being released, more than half a century after his death. Weekend's Rebecca Kesby spoke to Guthrie's granddaughter Anna Canoni and his daughter Nora Guthrie about the new album, 'Woody at Home'. Produced by Thomas Copeland.
