Hertfordshire County Council sold the painting to Robjn Cantus for £35. After an investigation by the Â鶹Éç’s Fake or Fortune programme, the picture has been identified as by Frances Hodgkins and could be worth up to £50,000. Robjn, who lives near Cambridge, only realised it had been wrongly attributed to another artist when his blog was spotted by someone familiar with Hodgkins’ work. Interview by Babs Michel.
