Andrea Jenkyns says she would oppose any new plans

Available for over a year

Greater Lincolnshire's mayor says she's prepared to "lead the opposition" to any new plans to house asylum seekers at RAF Scampton. Government ministers are looking at using former military bases as an alternative to housing migrants in hotels. But even though her own party, Reform UK, hasn't ruled out using disused RAF bases, Dame Andrea Jenkyns says she'll fight to stop sites in Lincolnshire being used. Our Political Editor Tim Iredale’s report starts with what the Defence Secretary John Healy has said about using former military bases and the response from Save Our Scampton Campaign’s Sarah Carter.
