Volunteers wanted for fun and time-travelling

Available for over a year

This weekend an eight year long community archaeological project digs for the last time. With the help of 394 volunteers they’ve explored 6 settlements and uncovered over 46,0000 artefacts spanning 12,000 years of history. Now you could give them a hand with their final ever dig in the village of Congerstone near Market Bosworth this Saturday and Sunday. Ben Jackson had a chat with the project officer from the University of Leicester Archaeological Services, Mathew Morris.
