New lease of life for 'Golden Mile' poem

Available for over a year

A special poem written to celebrate Diwali is now being offered as an educational resource to schools. 'Golden Mile' was written by Leicester Poet Laurette Mr Shay 9 years ago to capture the sights and sounds of Leicester's Diwali celebrations. Now the poem is being offered to secondary schools as a free resource - exploring themes such as home, cultural heritage and overcoming hardship as a community. Hear the original poem from Mr Shay, and his reaction to Â鶹Éç Leicester's Ady Dayman about the poem now being used in schools.
