Why West Ham relegation could cost Londoners millions

London Latest

Available for over a year

It's been revealed that London council taxpayers could face a bill of up to £2.5m a year if West Ham get relegated from the Premier League. The Hammers rent The London Stadium from City Hall, and under their lease agreement would only pay about half their current annual rent of £4.4m a year if they dropped to the Championship. Not only that, but revenue would fall, and costs may rise. Â鶹Éç Radio London's Ross Ryan has the story. (Image credit: Getty Images)
