IVF "one of the most difficult things I've ever been through"
Available for over a year
Christie Basile who had seven rounds of IVF to have her daughter, speaking to our communities reporter Chris Craddock. The states have been debating what to do with unspent IVF funding. The Treasury says there was £280,000 of funding unspent at the end of last year and wants that shared out to the wider health department. Campaigners say the reason the full £600,000 budget wasn't spent is because criteria to access it is too strict. We asked the Health Department for a response and the Assistant Health Minister, Deputy Andy Howell, said "our priority is to help as many couples as possible access IVF treatment" and she's asked Treasury if it may be possible for any underspend to be carried forward into 2026.
