Statue of computing pioneer officially unveiled in Hinckley

Ada Lovelace has become world famous as the first computer programmer, despite being born a few hundred years before anyone had heard the sound of a dial-up modem. You might not know she has roots right here in Leicestershire, being raised at Kirkby Mallory and being a regular visitor to Hinckley. Well this weekend the town celebrated those links by unveiling a new statue in her honour Reporter: Matt Smith
