It's not often bus drivers are hailed as heroes. But it's even rareer they take matters into their own hands. In June 2024 Katalin Kaszas was riding the 206 bus between Wemley and Maida Vale, when she had her necklace stolen. The driver, Mark Hehir chased the thief and got it back. But when the thief returned he threw a punch at Mark, who punched the thief back. Mark was sacked, and since then the public have rallied behind him, saying he should be reinstated. We've spoken to Mark and the victim. This is their full story.
