An assault under a Birmingham viaduct led to first known report of the term Peaky Blinders, which would grow into an overarching name in crime. The popular Â鶹Éç drama is actually based on the so-called ‘slogging gangs’ who were operating in city in the late 19th century. This episode features Professor Carl Chinn who’s written numerous books about the history of the real Peaky Blinders gangs. Narrated by Strictly winner, former Lioness and Peaky Blinders super fan Karen Carney.
