Perilously travelling thousands of miles for a destination otherwise unknown: Discover the eye-opening short, In The Shadows, made by Telford's King Davies Dogbe, picking up film festival screenings for fun. The film follows the travel of its maker's mother. In the 1970s, Libya became the heart of African migration, as thousands risked everything to cross the country's harsh deserts and dangeous seas in search of the promises in Europe. But smugglers thrived, detention centres overflowed and countless dreams were lost to the desert and the sea. Caught up in that was Dupe Okundaye. Now her son and collaborators Nichaela Farrell and Zubayr Zubayr have taken her story on to camera in a true celebration of creativity.
