Bad news for Beeston's 'paramotorists'
Available for over a year
As the days get longer and the evenings get lighter, you may start to hear a low droning noise from above. Easily confused with a lawnmower or a far-off aeroplane, it might actually be some of Nottinghamshire's 'paramotorists' - people who glide around the skies using a parachute and a motor. Weirfields Recreation Ground in Beeston is a popular spot for the hobbyists, and now Broxtowe Borough Council has installed signs warning them not to use the field for the activity. The Â鶹Éç's Ben Carr went to Beeston to find out what people think of the sport.
