As The Great British Bake Off returns to television screens tonight, a former semi-finalist has lifted the lid on the realities of life inside the famous tent, revealing that one of the toughest challenges was not the baking itself but keeping his appearance on the show a secret for months. Toby Littlewood, who reached the semi-final of the Channel 4 programme in 2025, said contestants often completed filming long before the series aired, leaving them unable to tell friends and family about their experience.
