On Tuesday British Prime Minister Theresa got the support of parliament to return to the European Union and ask for a change to the Brexit withdrawal agreement. She's been mandated to ask for 'alternative arrangements' to the Irish backstop, which guarantees there wouldn’t be a hard border between Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. In Japan, a growing number of elderly people are going to prison. Almost 20% of its prison population is now over 60. President Emmerson Mnangagwa of Zimbabwe has appointed a taskforce to look into alleged human rights abuses by soldiers in the aftermath of elections last year.
