Earlier this year, a Swiss tourist visiting Bali posted a now-infamous video on social media. On the island's Day of Silence, a Hindu festival, which sees Bali completely shut down, he filmed himself walking to an empty beach and calling the Day of Silence "crazy." His remarks incited an online backlash and led quickly to criminal proceedings. He has now been jailed for a year by the Balinese authorities, in what is seen as an ongoing crackdown by Balinese authorities on tourists who disrespect the island's values and religious traditions. �鶹�� Indonesian's Astudestra Ajengrastri tells the story. For the first time since the Taliban returned to power in  Afghanistan five years ago, the �鶹�� was granted rare access to the  Presidential Palace in Kabul. �鶹�� Afghan journalist Sayed Abdullah Nizami spent nearly a full day inside the seat of government, offering an unprecedented look at how the Taliban's leadership operates, governs, and conducts its daily affairs. Ratko Mladic, the former Bosnian Serb military commander, was buried in Belgrade, Serbia, this week. Thousands of Serbians turned out to pay their respects to the man widely known as the “Butcher of Bosnia”, who at the time of his death was serving a life sentence at a UN prison in The Hague for genocide, war crimes and crimes against humanity following his role in the Bosnian war, including the 1995 Srebrenica massacre in which 8000 Bosnian Muslim men and boys were killed by Serbian forces.
