Fed up of being the size of a house? Ready to hold your baby in your arms? Here are a few tips to get the show on the road. And take it from me, I've been there and bought the T-shirt. Drink plenty of raspberry tea, eat lots of spicy food, take a long and bumpy car ride鈥.. As soon as pregnancy has been confirmed, most women are eager to soak up as much knowledge as possible, regarding their unborn child. But who do they turn to for advice? And how much of what they hear is actually true?
In the nine months leading up to the birth of their children, women are likely to hear as many old wives tales as they are solid, scientific facts. Mothers and mothers in laws, as well as grandmothers, (and anyone else who decides to get involved!) are always eager to pass on their pearls of wisdom. You can learn a lot from older, wiser females who have been through what you are about to endure. You also ending up hearing a lot of what I refer to, as 鈥渦tter tripe鈥!! However, no matter how educated we think we are, there is always some part of us, curious to hear more. But why? Can we really predict the sex of our babies, without the aid of science, before they enter the world? Or is at all just a bit of fun?! You decide.
