Our very own James Clark took to the route of the Great North Run again, but this time in his car. He drove to the spot at South Shields where he and 50,000 other runners ended their road pounding. You can read his .

He went through a number of pain barriers, umpty bananas and buckets of water, let alone the ice for his feet, but he did it.

As with a huge number of his fellow runners, he looks back on the event with harsh memories of every grinding mile, and the sheer exhilaration of the finishing line.
