Seventeen year old Rhys Jones from the New Forest has become the youngest person from Briton to climb Mount McKinley. Enduring wind chill temperatures exceeding minus 70 celcius the expedition took 22 days. During the ascent the team found themsleves trapped on a ridge for five days taking shelter from a vicious storm. The final push took an energy sapping 17 hours before Rhys stood on top of the 20320 foot (6194 metres) summit. On the way down the climb begain to take it's toll with Rhys suffering from altitude sickness and becoming disorentated. Would he do it again? Of course he would.
