Joe's into motorbike racing, but when he's not on his bike, he doesn't let his studies slip. He thinks exams aren't too bad, as long as you put in the work. They're also a good way for people to be able to assess what you've achieved. However, he was fiddling with a pencil in one exam and managed to injure himself with permanent consequences!
