FEELING STRONG
By Katie Lockwood
When Katie was in the grip of her eating disorder, she thought about food all the time and would count calories obsessively. She was in denial at the start of her treatment, but a turning point came when she accepted she had a problem. She learnt to trust those around her - her family, friends and doctors - and listen to what they had to say. Going to University has helped Katie and she now enjoys social events. Although she has difficult days, Katie feels strong and positive about the future, and won't go back to how she once was.
