QASIM'S INDIAN CONNECTIONS
By Qasim -
Off the main route from Ludhiana to Amritsar is the remote village of Chahot. For Qasim this is the first time he has visited the Indian village which some of his relatives called home before they fled across the border to Pakistan. And he meets Sondhi, the friend who helped his relatives escape. They had lived as neighbours, like family and suddenly they found their lives torn apart because Qasim’s Muslim uncles had to leave.
