Mabel describes what made her a socialist - going to teach in Teeside, where she found a level of poverty that she never knew existed. She says that she's going to vote Labour in the next election, and she wants Labour to be back in power, but only while holding on to the beliefs that they fought for. Tony Blair can call himself what he wants, but she's proud to be a socialist.
