Pronunciation of vowel combinations

When two vowels come together in Welsh, they don't combine to form a different sound: each will keep its original value. So when "a" and "i" come together, they will be pronounced "ai".

a + w = aw

e + w = ew

e + i = ei

o + w = ow

u + w = uw
