  • When talking to a child or a friend, use ti

    Beth wyt ti'n chwarae?
    Gaf i chwarae?Can I play?
    Cei!Yes!
    Na chei!No!
    Pwy sy'n chwarae?Who's playing?
    Pwy sy'n dechrau?Who's starting?

    Fi / ti / fe / hi / ni / chi / nhw sy'n dechrau
    I'm / you're / he's / she's / we're / you're / they're starting.

  • Notice that a soft mutation occurs in nouns and adjectives after yn / 'n
  • Fi sy nesa.I'm next.

  • We say sy nesa not sy'n nesa.
  • Dw i wedi ennill.I've won.
    Mae e wedi gorffen.He's finished.
    Dyn ni wedi colli.We've lost.
