Listen: Andy in his own words

With just months to live, Andy Fitchett is not only organising his own wake but going to it...

What would you do if you were told you had only months left to live?

In an exclusive interview with Sandy Martin, on Â鶹Éç Radio Wiltshire at the weekend, Andy Fitchett reveals his plans following the news that he has just months to live:

Hi Andy. Hope Keith's feelin better. Although we did'nt hear your interview. We've had the privalidge of meeting you face to face. Those few minutes over coffee on the two occasions we met were something that me n Lynne will both remember for a long time. I hope when my time comes I have your courage and strength. Best of luck with the auction!!!!

My father was a vegetarian, never drank, smoked, was a marathon runner, ran the London Marathon in 1992 and was diagnosed with stomach cancer, aged 69, in May 1992, and died 8 weeks later, aware like Andy of his fate. I stayed with him every second of those eight weeks and it was a huge privilege to be with him. Andy,s daughters are experiencing that same privilege.
