Any state visit to the UK by the Saudi royal family provokes controversy. Their critics see the country they rule as tarnished by human rights abuses, dodgy arms deals, and a base for militant Islam. But for the West, Saudi Arabia is too important to antagonise, a dam against extremists and, of course, the source of huge amounts of oil. What the Saudis say matters and one of the big issues they hold close to their heart is the continuing occupation of Iraq. How widespread are these concerns among Saudis growing up in the country?
