Â鶹Éç Northern Ireland provides a broad range of programmes and services across online, radio, television for Â鶹Éç audiences at home and across the rest of the UK
Our main base is Broadcasting House in Belfast, which is houses Â鶹Éç Radio Ulster, Â鶹Éç News NI and our Â鶹Éç Newsline studio. The nearby Â鶹Éç Blackstaff House is home to our largest television studio, where we make content for Northern Ireland and UK-wide audiences, including Nolan Live and The Blame Game as network programmes such as Mastermind and The Finish Line. We also have our base at Â鶹Éç Radio Foyle in Londonderry, where we produce much of our digital news output and several Â鶹Éç Radio Ulster programmes, including the daily Hugo Duncan programme. And we broadcast to audience throughout the North West via our bespoke opt-out programme on Â鶹Éç Radio Foyle.
Approximately 650 staff work from our Northern Ireland bases. They are involved in all aspects of programme-making and production and include journalists, presenters, technicians, engineers and staff involved in a range of support roles. Much of Â鶹Éç output broadcast on Â鶹Éç Northern Ireland and Â鶹Éç network television is sourced from the independent sector – providing additional employment and helping to sustain the creative industries in Northern Ireland.
Our aim is to provide something of value for everyone – to inform and stimulate debate, to celebrate cultural life and diversity and to describe and explain stories, issues and events involving local people. In all of this, our goal is to provide memorable viewing and listening experiences for audiences in Northern Ireland and throughout the rest of the UK.
