I have loved Indian music since childhood as it was always being played on our taperecorder. The music was from the hindi movies and really made you want to sing along with them. Even today I still listen to hindi film music of todays style as well as the traditional ones. Although now I am more into Ghazals, especially those by Jagjit Singh - the "king" and "Godfather" of ghazals. His Bhajans are also out of this world - so melodious and calming. I have just about every single album which he has released and are mainly in CD version. I have seen him in concert in the UK 4 times in the last 10 years and will see him again definitely, even if I have to go to Bombay or US if he does not come to UK again.I would still listen to other artists like Pankaj Udhas who has a different style or even playback singers like Alka Yagnik who made two albums with Javed Akhtar - "Tum Yaad Aaye" and "Tum Aaye" featuring Hariharan. Absolutely fantastic !!!!!I also love watching Music Videos and Concert recordings which reallycome to life with the stars.
