Simran gets a call from Gurpreet who is unimpressed with Simran's lack of preparations for the baby naming ceremony. She also reckons Simran is pretending to cope but Simran denies it saying she will see her tomorrow. Gurpreet announces she is arriving today! Later, the phone rings again and its Simran's mum. Surinder tells her daughter not to let people get inside her head. Simran mutters that she is trying not to.
Kamla tells Arun and Roopa to turn their music down. Roopa thinks Arun's music is louder. You'd think a music technology student had heard of headphones! She then points out that Kamla can't influence Arun anymore and times have changed.
Simran wonders if her dad will turn up tomorrow. Jinx spots a postcard and Simran explains it's from Jodie - another person who grew up without her dad. Jinx won't let that happen here. He knows Jaggy and he won't be able to resist his child in the end.
At school Mrs Hayes has a chat with Roopa. She is worried about her dizzy spells in class. Is there anything she wants to discuss? Roopa says they had a few problems at home recently but she is fine now. Mrs Hayes says she will keep an eye on things just to make sure.
Simran apologises to Kamla for telling Rita the truth about Jai. They are interrupted by Simran's phone ringing. It's Surinder who says she is at the salon with Jaggy's mum. Simran reckons she had better head back before they kill each other!
Elsewhere, Jinx phones Jaggy to tell him he should be at the ceremony. Jaggy says he is too busy but at least Simran has got his brother to take his place. An angry Jinx tells him he isn't fit to be a father.....
