It's the final episode of Silver Street...
At the Chauhans’, Kamla has waited up all night. She wants to be at the police station first thing for Jai. But Rita says not to worry. Jai has thought things through and knows what to expect. Kamla wishes Jai had come to see her, insisting she doesn’t need to be protected from her own child. Rita explains that Suresh has had to leave for a conference. He did everything he could. Kamla reflects on being a parent, admitting that no one is perfect.
Mary warns Sean not to get his hopes up about Jai, but Sean feels certain that Jai won’t let him down again. Mary reminds Sean that Jai isn’t his only family, but Sean knows that this will always be his home. Mary can’t get rid of him that easily! Mary goes to see Kamla to cheer her up, leaving Brian and Sandra in charge of the Crown for the night. Mary just hopes they make it to last orders! Meanwhile, Pradeep is up a ladder fixing the new sign outside Saffrons. He agrees with Mary that Jai turning himself in is probably for the best.
Krishan is outraged that Roopa has been in his room. She explains she was just getting her stuff back, but she couldn’t resist swiping Krish’s phone. Roopa reads out some embarrassing texts from an admirer. Rita decides she’s had enough of their noise and needs to clear her head. She invites Pradeep to take a walk with her. As they stroll, Pradeep points out to Rita that it’s her birthday tomorrow, but she doesn’t want reminding! Pradeep offers to rustle up a nice meal before Saffrons opens. It’ll be just the two of them. Rita likes that plan, and this moment of calm can’t even be broken by the noise coming from Roopa winding up her little brother. Although just for now, she’s going to pretend that those aren’t their kids!
Finally, as the sound of their children fades, Pradeep asks Rita where they are heading. Rita replies: they’re going to walk down Silver Street and see where it goes from there…
