A nervous Imran waits in court as Rozena, Mushtaq and Zenab try to keep him calm. Rozena spots a group of dodgy looking men staring at them. Mushtaq reckons they are journalists but Rozena isn’t so sure.
As Jas and Kuljit hurry to court Jas is shocked when Kuljit lets slip that Sway is thinking about converting. When they arrive they join Mani and the Jilanis in the Public Gallery as the Prosecution makes his opening statement. They all hold their breath as the judge asks how Imran pleads. Mushtaq can’t bear it and rushes out as we hear a tiny voice say ‘Not guilty’. Mani runs out after him and persuades Mushtaq to come back into court, telling him there’s no point dwelling on the past, it’s now that Imran needs him. They get back in time to hear Imran’s lawyer asking for his bail to be extended for six months.
As they leave after the hearing they notice the dodgy guys still watching them try to avoid the stares. Imran grabs Jas and rushes away with her in a cab, he needs to explain things to her. Imran finds he can’t bring himself to tell her the truth though. Jas prompts him, was it anything to do with the Anti-Nazi group Imran was involved in? Was it because Mickey attacked the Jilani’s shops? Imran seizes on her assumptions telling her it was just self defence. Jas thinks back though, to the time when Imran attacked Adam for groping Nadia. She’s shocked at Imran’s reaction when she mentions it. He tells her Adam got what he deserved and he’d do the same again. Imran realises it was a mistake to try and explain and he races out leaving Jas wondering how well she really knows Imran…
