Dr Masud is devastated to discover he was responsible for his daughter鈥檚 marriage to a violent bully. He thought Akram was perfect for her, he came from such a good family. Shazia鈥檚 mother wasn鈥檛 sure about him though, why didn鈥檛 he listen to her? He swears that if he ever sees Akram again he will kill him. He asks why Shazia couldn鈥檛 tell him, they were always so close. Shazia explains she didn鈥檛 want to upset her dad, it was her problem and she had to deal with it herself.

They are interrupted by a phone call from Sway wondering where Shazia is. She suddenly remembers she promised to take him some photos of the trip to London. Her dad tells Shazia that Sway will have to wait, and so will his patients.

At the Parkside Centre Sway, Kamla, Mary and Vinnie examine the rest of the photos. Vinnie laughs at one of Mary and Bill 鈥榗anoodling on the coach. Mary protests they were doing nothing of the sort! Sway remarks it鈥檚 surprising there are any photos of Kamla the way she kept disappearing. Vinnie jumps in to defend her but Kamla rushes off in tears. Mary goes after her and asks Kamla what upset her. The whole story tumbles out, about Jai, Spike and the money; how could she be so stupid? Mary comforts Kamla, Jai will turn up again sooner or later, your kids always do! Kamla cheers up and rejoins the meeting full of enthusiasm again.

Shazia is concerned her sons might take their father鈥檚 side. They get on so well with Akram, maybe they鈥檒l blame her! Shazia suddenly feels pathetic, she鈥檚 spent her career advising women in her situation but couldn鈥檛 even take her own advice. She wonders aloud if she should now go public so at least some good can come of the situation. Dr Masud is horrified that everyone would know their secrets, is that what she wants? He persuades Shazia to phone Lynne and tell her there鈥檚 no way she can go public.
