Rita and Pradeep are chatting but Pradeep seems distracted, and when challenged by Rita, he admits he’s been thinking about Rozena’s attack. He’s especially concerned about Imran who Rozena says has become quite a recluse. Pradeep decides that he will ask Imran to help out with the city farm proposal, as it might do him good to have something to focus on, and as Rita says, he might welcome the opportunity to talk to someone outside the family.
Pradeep goes to see Imran, who is quite surprised and nervous to see him. Pradeep tells Imran Rozena has told him the whole story. Imran is taken aback and he’s obviously touched that Pradeep has come to ask for his help. He soon gets stuck in enthusiastically with the city farm proposal.
Dr Masud is delighted to receive a phone call from Shazia. She asks how the boys are, and says that Akram has tried calling her, which upsets Dr Masud. He feels he’s let her down, and vows not to let Akram near her or the boys again. Shazia reassures him that she’s ok. Dr Masud says the boys are very close to their Mum now, which she is thrilled about.
Danyal visits Dr Masud at the surgery, bringing samosas. Dr Masud tells him that his Mum ‘phoned earlier to find out how her boys were. Danyal thanks him for standing up to his Dad, and then asks how his granddad feels about him being gay. Dr Masud says that he doesn’t understand it, but that he loves him just as much, which means a lot to Danyal.
Neera calls Kuljit while he’s busy at work. Neera explains that Rajvinder has been behaving badly over getting the family together for Vaisakhi, putting Amrit off for the whole week. He finally insisted that they all went over on Friday, but Rajvinder made it clear she didn’t want them there, calling him stupid and greatly upsetting him. Kuljit is furious, vowing to give Rajvinder a piece of his mind, but Neera stops him, saying that Amrit has finally realised he’s always been treated badly by her, and that he needs Kuljit.
