Sway tells Nadia that he is meeting Zak at the Mosque to watch him do wa’zoo (ritual washing before performing daily prayers). When an excited Kuljit calls him about a potential building for their recording studio, Sway says he can’t talk. Later Kuljit tells Jodie that this studio could change their lives, she can do the catering too but Sway is too busy to think about it.
Nadia wants Sway to find out from Zak why he has rowed with Arun. Sway’s view on it is that all friends argue, like him and Kuljit did. Sway is then forced to tell her that it was over Jodie they slept together once when they were drunk but it meant nothing to him.
Sway thinks watching wa’zoo will help with his classes. Zak suggests he attend the Arabic classes, he just needs to learn to recite the Koran they way it’s written. Sway prefers the English version but Zak reminds him that Allah never spoke English.
Nadia bumps into Jodie and Kuljit coming back from seeing the potential studio. Kuljit mentions it to Nadia but as she leaves, Jodie mentions the builders wolf whistling but Nadia makes a flippant comment about how people just can’t control themselves.
Sway manages to ask Zak about Arun. Zak says he is a Muslim 24/7 and he doesn’t want the drinking and clubbing that Arun does in his life anymore.
Jodie visits Simran and tells her to start her own wedding planning business, she has always wanted to do something different but Simran is not sure, the salon is a steady business and she’s scared she’ll be stuck at Jaggy’s forever if the wedding planning doesn’t pull off.
Sway discusses the recording studio with the Imam who reckons it could get difficult for him, conflicts, temptations, drugs, alcohol, uncovered women and at certain times of the year, it would just be inappropriate, like Ramadan. Imam says he is on a spiritual journey, he needs to choose his own path, he needs to trust himself and then he’ll know what to do.
